Important Update Notes

Change to the authentication process for Microsoft Exchange Online

This only applies to customers that use Microsoft Exchange Online as a mail server.
All Microsoft Exchange Online customers will have the basic authentication to the mail server getting disabled by Microsoft at the end of December 2026 (see https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/exchange/updated-exchange-online-smtp-auth-basic-authentication-deprecation-timeline/4489835), and only will be able to use OAuth authentication. Mandatory changes are required for anyone using Microsoft Exchange Online, as after the end of December 2026 there will no guarantee that the Cryptshare Server will be able to send emails via the old basic authentication.

Starting with this Cryptshare version, you can now configure the mail server through an OAuth connection to Microsoft Exchange Online.

Here you will find our guide on what to do.
This only applies to customers who use Microsoft Exchange Online as a mail server on a Cryptshare appliance.
In addition to the previous section, this section only applies to customers who use Cryptshare on a Cryptshare appliance.

By default, the Cryptshare appliance sends notifications as soon as updates are available for Linux programmes that require manual steps. The switch to Microsoft Exchange Online and OAuth 2.0 authentication requires manual configuration steps. These steps are not necessary if you monitor your Cryptshare appliance with additional tools or already perform regular patch days.

Here you will find our guide on what to do.

Language Packages

Due to structural changes in the language packages, all supported server language packages will be updated automatically, customized language packages will be removed during the update process (a backup is done before). If more language packages are needed, it is required to download and install them again.

In case your language packages have been modified, the attached delta-file Datei:Delta english lp 7.5.0 to 7.6.0.txt can help you to locate the changes in this update and re-apply the modifications. The structure of this file is explained in Language Pack Changes.
