Language Packages
Due to structural changes in the language packages, all supported server language packages will be updated automatically, customized language packages will be removed during the update process (a backup is done before). If more language packages are needed, it is required to download and install them again.
In case your language packages have been modified, the attached delta-file Datei:Delta english lp 7.3.0 to 7.4.0.txt can help you to locate the changes in this update and re-apply the modifications. The structure of this file is explained in Language Pack Changes.
Asynchronous data optimization
In this Cryptshare version the storage of database data was optimizied. In order to reduce the update time, this data optimization will be executed inside the Cleanup Task. Please note that an the Cleanup Task has to be executed at least once, for updating to the next version (7.6.0) that will be released in the first half of 2026. This database optimization is also required for the reduced loading time of the Statistics page.
New features
- Added Pointsharp Identity Provider as an authentication provider to the Administration Interface. Click here for further information.
- The usage of the Pointsharp Identity Provider with Cryptshare requires a Cryptshare Enterprise License. If the feature is not enabled on your license yet, please get in contact with your Cryptshare sales representative in order to request a new licence file.
- Live Transfer Status: Accessible for a verified sender via the notification email associated with the new “Transfer status” button (replaces the previous “Revoke” button in the email), to provide:
- Full over view of the transfer status.
- Recipients download status per file.
- Files download status per recipient.
- Action section that allow the sender to:
- Revoke the active transfer (this button is not available for expired or deleted transfers).
- Start a new transfer to the same recipients list, prefilled each in its corresponding type (TO,CC or BCC). More detailed information can be found under the Transfer Status documentation
Improvements
- When retrieving a transfer that is no longer available, the user will now see the specific reason why the transfer is no longer available instead of a generic error message.
- The transfer summary page that is displayed after sending a transfer was restructured by removing the information if "Send me a notification email about this upload" was activated, since this is configurable since version 7.2.0.
- Statistics that administrators can sent to themselves over email now also include telemetry usage data, normally sent only to the vendor. Additionally, administrators can now also download this data from the statistics page directly.
- On linux systems, the system backup now also contains the systemd service definition.
- On all operating systems during the system restore process, the file cryptshare.properties will be restored as well. For linux systems, the files systemd service definition, start-cryptshare.sh, and entrypoint.sh are now restored additionally.
- In the Web App there is now a reserved space for the scrollbar, leading to no unintentional movements of the contents when navigating or expanding elements on the page.
- Unified mail headers to format X-CS-CamelCase, the old headers are still there for backward compatibility, but will be deprecated in the future.
- The loading time of the Statistics page was reduced by optimizing the database.
Bug Fixes
- An issue was resolved where changes in the email layouts were not correctly displayed in the recipient notification preview screen.
