‘Rule-based email delivery’ includes all emails that were delivered to CS4N&D via Domino server rules. These could be emails from third-party applications or emails that were forwarded to CS4N&D due to their size.

Distinction: ‘Manually created email’ refers to all messages that were manually created by the user for delivery via Cryptshare. E.g.: By using the Cryptshare toolbar icon or by integrating the CS4N&D extension into the email template.

Email encryption for rule-based email submissions Set how emails delivered via Domino server rules should be handled:

Send email text and attachments encrypted (as an EML file)

The entire email (body text and file attachments) is made available to recipients for download via Cryptshare in an EML file. Instead of the original message, only a standard notification is sent to the recipients, informing them that a confidential message is available for retriev

Only send attachments encrypted

Only the file attachments are made available to recipients for download via Cryptshare. The original message is supplemented with a corresponding information text and download links and sent as normal by email.

What subject line should be displayed in the recipient's email? You can choose how the subject line of the sent email should be displayed.

Always display original subject

The subject entered by the sender is displayed.

Always anonymise subject

The text configured in the language file is displayed instead of the original subject. The default setting is: ‘Confidential message’.

File name Display the file names of the attachments in the notification email.
Password option for rule-based email delivery You can set whether emails sent via CS4N&D should be sent without a password or with a password.

Always send with password entry

The sender receives a confirmation email from the CS4N&D application with the automatically calculated password. The email recipient needs this password to download the files from the CS server. If a rule-based email (delivery to CS4N&D via Domino Server rule) already has a password in the UserPassword field, this password is used. The system does not recalculate a new password.

Always send without password entry

The password is automatically generated by the system and inserted into the download link. The email recipient can download the files from the CS server without entering a password. The sender is not sent a password. The password is sent to the recipient in plain text as part of the download link, so this option offers less security than manual entry or generation of a password by the sender, which must then be exchanged with the recipient.

Exception
For rule-based emails (delivered to CS4N&D via Domino server rule) that contain the field UserPassword with an encrypted password, this password is used. This means that the email is always sent with a password. The recipient must then enter this password to download the files from the CS server.
Send provisioning email to sender Should the email sender receive an information email including a password for a rule-based processed email if the email has been successfully delivered to the recipients?

never The password must be included in the UserPassword notes field in the email. The sender does not receive an email confirmation when the email they sent has been made available for download by the recipient. To do this, the password must be encrypted and included in the UserPassword text field in the email sent by the sender so that it can be used.

always The email sender receives a provisioning email with the transfer password.

always except when... The sender receives a provisioning email, except when the email contains a text field CS4N_UploadInfo with the value ‘1’. Note: This option is only available when ‘Always send with password entry’ is selected.

Information email to email sender When the email recipient has downloaded the email sent to them, a delivery confirmation is sent to the sender of the email.
Send summary Should a download summary be sent to the sender after the transfer has been completed? This summary contains information about which recipients have downloaded the sent data.
